About Grainstone
A better future,
grown from here.
Australian ingenuity. Partnerships. Greater value from every harvest. Exporting to the world.
Our Mission
Making more of what we grow.
Grainstone began with a simple question: how can we get more value from the crops we already grow to help solve growing global problems? Australia produces exceptional cereal grains, yet valuable plant resources remain under-utilised. We see an opportunity to connect agriculture, science and industry to do more with less.
Our work in fully integrated advanced manufacturing biorefineries — creating valuable products from grain and straw drives towards sustainable intensification of agriculture and designing waste out of the system along the whole value chain.
We are developing pathways to food ingredients, renewable fuels and recovered nutrients. The goal is practical sustainability: products that meet real needs, economics that support adoption, and lasting value for growers and regional communities.
Founder’s perspective
An idea is only

A shared journey
Many hands. One shared ambition.
Grainstone’s journey has been shaped by dozens of people beyond the project team shown here — researchers, growers, engineers, advisers, collaborators, early supporters.
Their expertise, time, encouragement and belief have helped turn ideas into progress. We are grateful to everyone who has contributed, often behind the scenes.
Help us feed and fuel the future.
